    Light Leak? Opinions?

Hey everyone, In veg now but preparing for flower. My passive air intake into the tent is the screened rectangle on the bottom of the 4X4 tent. l've had a few grows with this setup and no issues with herm or any other issues. I don't think there is a light leak but here is my question. If I can see the LED coming out of the tent with lights on, can my plants see any normal daytime light with lights off (I run lights at night and dark during day). Please see picture and let me know your opinion. I know light can't go around corners but it can reflect, right?

I asked myself the same question I have my vents open in a way it projects light from inside onto the ground but before flower I turned on all my lights in my room and opened my black out curtains and got in the tent. I was extremely surprised that it was pitch black in there. U could also fashion a box around your vents to give a couple corners so no light at all can get in. Just a thought.
have u got into your tent to see if u can see light. Put your phone in there with the video running and see if u don't have room to get in there yourself.
    It's 4:19 u got a minute?

thanks abadtrip, I did that last year and it was pitch black. My GF walked around outside the tent with a flashlight and I never saw it. I hear you on boxing it in but I want that area open because I have a fan blowing cool air to the area. Didn't want to block the cool air from getting into the tent. The wall is light colored so I may cover part of that wall with black fabric so it can't reflect light.

Howdy Sheesh, a short answer, yes, if You can see it then the plants can as well. If You make the 'box' as abadtrip suggested out of non-reflective material or paint the inside with a flat black (not glossy) paint, then you could reduce the possibility of a light leak. If You have not had any problems with it in the past, then why worry. My problem with light 'leaks' was when I entered or left the room in which my grow closet is located. I put up a 'black-out' curtain just inside from the door to make a kind of 'light lock' and has helped out on the last two grows.
        Good luck with Your grow.

Thanks DW2. I know, don't fix it if it isn't broken. It just concerns me that I need to be worried about turning the room lights on or opening a window shade. I think I need to rethink the intake just to be sure.

I put my self in my tent and let my eyes adjust. If they don't adjust after 20 minutes no light leak.
