Haha! Yes I like to defoliate a lot when the plants get bigger. I just lolipopped the undersides and cleaned out all the tiny growths that will never see much light. I'll let them recover and start plucking tomorrow.

Yep the picture of perfection. Are you planning any defoliation, or it that something you do not do?

Royal Nugs round 2 - Kindsoil/Coco Loco
Ok, finally getting around to the new journal.
4x4 Apollo tent
600W MH/HPS
Blockbuster 6" refector
Ventech 420cfm inline fan
Ventech charcoal scrubber
3 gallon Root Trapper II fabric pots
I'm using Kindsoil's recommendations for growing. For those that are unfamiliar with KindSoil, it's a concentrated super soil that you throw into the bottom of your final pot. You use 1 pound for every 1 gallon of pot size. I.E. 3 gallon pot, 3 pounds of kindsoil. The rest of the pot is filled with coco loco. You can use any media, I chose coco loco as the owner recommends it. When you water in this system, you don't water to runoff. You water enough to saturate your media and keep the plants happy. I've been using about a quart of PH'ed water per plant every other day for some time now. It was every 3 days but they got droopy on the 3rd day a few weeks ago so I went to every other day. I have accidentally overwatered to runoff. It smelled really bad... strong stuff. Hopefully I didn't wash away all the nutrients. I have fox farm's trio just in case I need to supplement.
I use my tap water (8.3-8.4 PH) corrected to 5.8-6.2 PH with Earth Juice Crystals. It's citric acid in crystal form. I only need to add a pinch to drop a gallon to the correct PH.
The plants are 60 days old and were on an 18/6 under a 300 w induction lamp. I had to add a T5 when they got bigger. I moved the 600w HID into the tent 6 days ago. They've been under the MH ever since. They will stay under the MH until Wednesday when I'll put in my HPS bulb.
This makes day 3 from 12/12 flip. I'll post pics in the next post since they're on my phone and I can't type this much on my phone... I'd pull my hair out and my phone would be in pieces...
Hope you guys enjoy, thanks for checking it out.Tags: None
