I'm not a hydro grower, but best of luck. Couple of very good hydro growers on the forum.

      Hydroguard!

Need to find out ppm and ph of water.

I also recommend a bloom booster and a sweetener if you can afford it.

I'm not sure if it will help, but we wrote a tutorial about growing in hydro, and we're definitely here to answer any specific questions! I also wrote a tutorial about growing auto-flowering plants in a 2x4 tent under a 250W HPS that might be relevant to you. It uses coco coir, but other than that it's pretty similar to your setup, and you'll get even better yields since you're using a brighter light! Anyways, congrats on starting a new grow, and we can't wait to see how it goes!

looking good man. autos IMO are a little tricky to get started- harder than photos. not sure about lighting but curios what you get in the end. Ill compare my BB when finished.

same here- and its working great. I have a tent thats closed for 12 hrs from 6am to 6pm and I am able to run the lights in the veg/auto area 24/0 and keep the room warm for the tent. Im really happy and proud of what I did. my pics just doesnt give it the right context.

A good distance for a 400W is about 20" away to start. If the seedlings are responding well you can move it a few inches closer at a time, and after they're growing fast, you can keep it about a foot away (as long as the temperature feels okay if you put your hand where your plants are).

I noticed they're a little droopy. Just curious, are you using anything to help control root rot, like Hydroguard? I saw the temperature is staying between 70-84°F, which is good Do you plan on separating the seedlings and giving them each their own bucket soon?

Thanks for answering! I'll check it out and just make sure to leave a little note about that. It makes sense you would want to put your seedling in sunlight! I should make it more clear

I wrote a little tutorial about common seedling problems here if you're interested If you do end up reading it (though it seems like you're already on top of it so I'm not sure if you need to), let me know if it is missing anything, or if I can add/change something to make it better!

so it's been since sat and I think I got light situation fixed, checked on droopy leaves noticed rr plug looked dryish, the roots are starting right ato top of the plug.got squirt bottle with 6.0 h2o to fix that . noticed leaner had yellowing seed leaves and a root dropping from net pot. I was not sure when I had made res. water so I used so very little nutes. ph was good. I went ahead made a fresh resevior with 1/4 strength and hydroguard.
the light was too close. that's two rookie mistakes I made so far.

How are their roots so far? Can you see them coming out the bottom yet?

I just sneaked a peek under lid, leaner has 3 in of root droopy I can see has just the tip of root showing.

I had the light at 50% and 13 ins, I turned it up to 75% and raised it 20 inches. I tried to give them a 4 hour dark period, but temperature dropped to 60f after 3 hrs so I turned light back on.

                  Hi Jibbler -

For heat keep the light on for 24/7 in veg they grow fast and the warmth helps them do it.

They look great ,PH at 6.00 . I wait until the root is in the water and the first food I siphon out 1 gallon of tub water and put 1 gallon of 1/4 strength nutes. and if everything looks good in a day or 2, change out the whole reservoir 5 gallons of 1/4 strength nutrients . It makes sure all is well for the baby.
