    Fabric grow bags

When transplanting a grow bag to a larger size should one cut the fabric to allow root growth or should you just let the roots work through the fabric into the new medium?

    Never plant the old bag.
You can get the plant out without cutting the old bag. It just takes a couple minutes.

what I have learned so far:
    environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

🌱 Agreed. Just sort of mush around the sides until it loosens up the soil, then gently tip it to the side and you can usually get the whole rootball out undisturbed. Then dig a hole in the new container and add the rootball without moving it around and then water. If you don't disturb the roots at all, the plants never seem to get stunted. I feel like they get transplant shock if you try to shake out their roots. I feel like if the fabric was in the dirt it might mold. But if you're really afraid and don't care about wasting the pot, you could just cut it off with scissors since it's made of fabric! 🌱

A little tip that I did last time I transplanted is, dig the hole too big first in the new coco, then put old pot in hole and fill around so the hole is the right size and depth, this might not seem much but the less stressful this process the better...........happy growing
The more I know, the better I grow.
