So I have a cali kush that has most buds with curling hair and and turned amber, the larger colas aren't quite there yet. Their at 40% so should I flush for. Week or two and see if the larger colas finish up or wait for the main colas to get beyond 40% before starting the flush? I looked with the loupe, the large colas are still clear, the smaller colas are milky...just entered week 8 of flowering

Hey Labman, you can always harvest in stages, as we were recently discussing elsewhere on the forum. You know, it never hurts a girl in flower to give her a 48-hour flush every few weeks or so; they love the brief respite from the nutes, and you will often see invigoration after you put them back on their nutes. I'm not sure how many more weeks your big colas are gonna need; maybe someone else who knows the strain will chime in.
But I am in week 14 of flower with a big sativa girl, and I can see that the buds down lower on the plant are beginning to ripen, while the buds at the top are still putting out new pistils. I am sure that I'll be taking parts of her down in stages.
So you could do a mini-flush (and I hope as she winds down, that you are winding down on the nutes, so you have less salt buildup to worry about...) and harvest what's ready to be harvested.Anyone can grow schwag. If you want to grow top shelf bud, study hard: https://www.growweedeasy.com

Great tip, I didn't consider the mini flush, I do want to flush, but if the main colas need more time I was hesitant. I m thinking you flush then u cut, I'll really didn't even consider the mini flush and then cut the colas that are ready, I'll harvest the ones ready and then go back to the nutes another week , if the big colas don't finish up 🤘

I don't flush on a schedule or just because. I do flush for the last two to three weeks of flower so that the flowers do not have phosphorus and nitrates in them.SSD
