    HELP! A taste of BLOOD!

Forgive the essentially disturbing title, but today I was doing a light defol, session. I was working away leaves in a pile and I hear a light smacking noise, (thought it was Hubby). I turn to smile and say oh hey what ya doin? Only to find my dachshund girl of 3.5lbs laying into my leaf stack. She had pushed the door open to come in and see what I was up too. Now she has a taste for cannabis, (a taste for blood), she's been scatching at the door for an hour. Dear god help me!! Any tips for pets?

I feel your pain. I have 3 cats. 1 has no interest, 1 sits with me at night and nuzzles up for the exhale, and 1 loves to eat my plants. When I say love, I mean it, if I turn my back he's in there eating the leaves right off the plants.

Hmmmm, does your dog climb onto the table and steal your food? ^^ She should respect you. So, make her understand this room is off limits. Just like the table is.

Other than that, there aren't any "tips", maybe raise a baby barrier? Do you know what I mean?
Saying the baby barrier cause that's a weiner dog, isn't it? They don't jump very high.

I have one of those barriers at the door of my grow room, so I can keep the door open and circulate air, but keep the dogs and cats out.

I WISH I had a cat or dog who loved to eat the leaves, because that's an excellent way of getting rid of the evidence!!!!

My outdoor plants have to be raised or my chickens will defol them for me ! But they get the fan leaves after I remove them anyway.

Its near impossible to grow a vegetable garden that's unprotected with chicken around. Or else you should protect the garden, or else you should enclose the chickens ^^ I have same problem... During winter they roam around, spring/summer they are inside, poor beasts. We make sure to give them fresh cut grass etc

First few times our cat and dog furbabies were in room with us they tried to eat the plants, leaves on floor that we missed etc. Took a few good stern "No those are MY babies " and now when they come in they lay on the floor and stare in tent. But I'm sure if I turned my back on them they'd have a feast as they still munch in the leaves I drop on floor. Cat not so much anymore.
I like alltatup's idea .... baby gate would do the trick (my furbabies are too old to jump)

She is fully trained just didn't think I'd see her eating cannabis! I'm not sure why I was so suprised, (many animals love cannabis plants). It was like catching your kid doing something they shouldn't for the first time. But I like the baby gate idea, she is very tiny but she has a mighty jump, less than 6in tall she clears my bed of over 2 foot from floor to top sheet. I found some odorless dog repellent I'm thinking of spraying the corners of my tent?

SSS, just make sure it doesn't have any ingredients you wouldn't want on your plants.

This is what I ended up putting in front of the doorway because the cats can jump the baby gate:

Thanks for the insight A! It's main ingredient is apple concentrate( for a bitter smell to dogs) but I tried it out on a furniture leg first it was like a force field they'd bow out around it to keep away from the smell but it was for the most part odorless.

This is a bit off topic but kinda a funny story. I just harvested 2candy canes and I left a 3inch stump when I cut the plant down and well..... I left the stump and pot out side, figureing it's just a stump and ill deal with it later lol and then I caught my German shepard digging up the soil and she pulled the root out and now it's a toy for her lol and she wount give it up lol its like her precious (smegal from lord or the rings) lol

I always grew out in the woods, plus I raised and trained Labradors , every time I went to check my plants I would place 3 of my Labs in a circle around my plants about 75 yards away and 2 different times they saved me from getting busted ,once by a game warden the other time by the county sheriff. They are smart ,awesome dogs , smarter than alot of people. They knew what to do.

Labs, not just labs but most dogs if you stay around all the time they seem to know what's going on ,they want to please you if you take care of them, can't say that about cats though.

I miss my dogs! I always was a dog man myself, my wife was the cat lady, lol. My last dog is with one of my daughters now so that he can be cared for properly.

All of our animals have been rescues that we saved from the streets. My grey cat Gus was so little when we got him his eyes weren't open or anything and my wife had to bottle feed him. He thinks he's human, lol.
