    Magnification

I'm cruising along in week 6 of flower and starting to anticipate the harvest window, so the question is: could I see the trichomes well enough with a magnifying glass or do you need something more powerful like a lupe?

Try putting your camera on the same plane as the bud and top leaves. Zoom in and move your camera back. You should be able to get close to macro. Unless you have a macro setting use that.

They look frosty but it's hard to tell where the tric development is.

🌱 This is true. A lot of the time I get better pics by moving the phone back, for some reason. 🌱

I use a dual window illuminated loop. It takes practice but eventually you become accustomed to using it.

I started with a loupe from the hydro store. Maybe around 10x magnification. It was OK for awhile but it's tough to get a clear enough view. I went to a Zorb digital magnifier. USB to a laptop and it gives decent shots on your screen. I posted an example but it's tough getting the camera steady so they're sort of blurry.

I use the z'orb also. Great looks at the trich's. Had the same problem, I'm old and I shake a bit. Get a tripod, they can be cheap. You will need rubber bands to secure the z'orb to it but it controls the shaking.

🌱 Your buds look good but I think you have at least 4+ weeks since all the pistils are white. 🌱

Get a USB 500x microscope from eBay. They're 10 bucks and work awesome. Check a thread called tricomes and kief to check my latest pics

That's what I was thinking Berry pilot at least 4 weeks from what I've read , I'd go for the Zorb but I don't own a lap top just an iPad... so I have a connectivity issue with the USB feed, I'll investigate a little more... thanks everyone for the input
