I also filled the pots with fox farms soil (that has the guano/ earthworm casings) in the bottom half then topped with the organic I had left over. Both soils recieved a good mixing in of perlite.
When you're dealing with seedlings like yours and growing in soil. Forget about any kind of nutrients for the first 2-3 weeks. If you are using Fox Farm soil.(I'm not sure what your saying about guano/earthworm castings in the bottom half) it has enough nutes in it to sustain the seedlings for while. I personally start feeding nutes when they are about a month old.

The bottom 1/2 of the pot has fox farms. The remaining top 1/2 is left over organic soil I had.

I make it a practice never to reuse soil. You never know what lurks inside. 100% Fox Farm would have been a better choice. Just my $.02

I understand what you are saying. The leftover I mentioned was unused soil that was still in the bag. Still a valid point you made tho.

At PH 7-8 your plant is starving for nutes, and no matter how much you add, they will not feed until you get the PH of the runoff down to 6.

I hope they recover. I know this has been a good learning experience for you.

I don't want to push you, but have you considered starting over?

I didn't have the heart to say it.

I have it in a plastic pot with not so great drainage. Got some smart pots and will replant it later tonight. I'm probably just overcompensating since it's first time growing. Anyway here is pic of plant.
This plant has not been water for a week. Just saying.

I started some autos that are doing well, but I haven't given up on my sativa quite yet. After pruning off the dead looking leaves and making a few small adjustments, it seems to be turning around. Pic is from a week ago. I'll post a more recent pic a bit later. Just wanted to share my progress.

                  Thanks.
I think my problem was a combination of:
                  1) overwatering + poor drainage
                  2) Lights too close

I adjusted the lights up a bit higher. I also had re-potted into a 2 gallon smart pot with a good mix of perlite and soil. I also cut down to only watering it once a week. A few days ago was time for 3rd watering, and I added a small amount of Fox Farms Grow Big to see how it would respond. I had also topped it. The response was pretty good and the tops are growing out as well as new growth where the old dead leaves were cut off.
I also bent it a little bit so the new growth would get better access to light.
Hopefully it will continue liking the adjusted environment!

*edit* almost forgot. I lowered the ph very slightly. Tester was showing my soil at around 6.8-6.9. I lowered it to around 6.3-6.4.

Gotta thank the people on this forum and authors of the site for all the advice. Plant really turned around nice due tobinfobon here. She is really growing fast now and starting to suck up water like nobody's business. Here's an update from today.
Soil was almost bone dry on Sunday, so I watered and gave some more nutes. It's close to dry again and I'll water tomorrow or friday with plain ph adjusted water.

Update: I read that you want to flip to 12/12 to start flowering when your plant is around 1/2 size you want it to finish at, so I did just that. Not sure if it's recomended or not, but pot was dry last night and I haven't given nutes last watering so I fed it and switched my timer to 12/12. Pic is from today after her first "long night". Saw some more new growth, hopefully some pre-flowers soon.

You think you saw new growth now . Wait 'till the second and third week. You're gonna freak out.

When I switch to 12/12, I don't use a timer. I personally open and close the tent myself. With 1000w HPS, I don't want to leave my tent closed and burn up my girls when the lights come on. BTW you did a hell of a job on your plant ,she looks awesome. You should be proud.
