    Week 7(day 42) yellow leaves

Wedding Cake, start of week 7 (day 42). Large fan leaves are starting to turn yellow/purple but my pistols are all still white.. what should I do? Give nitrogen or let nature do its thing? Thanks!

Is it a photo period plant or auto? What medium are you growing them in?
I wouldn't give any more nitrogen, -perhaps a small dose of epsom salts, 1/2-1 teaspoonful dissolved in a gallon of ph'ed water.
How long do the have to go? It's normal to have yellowing the end of the grow
Is is limited to the oldest leaves? Is this happening where the light does not reach? It's hard to see much under those lights.
This is a case where I would check the pH of the run off and correct.
It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

The only leaves turning yellow are the oldest leaves.

There are two 600 W LED lights for just this one plant and I make sure she is rotated once a day so every part of the plant gets light.

Grow medium is Ocean forest soil, fox farm.

      Period plant( not auto).

My question is basically how much longer do I have to go until harvest and should I worry about these yellow leaves? I can’t find any information on wedding cake strain and the exact days for harvest. I’m on day 42 of who knows.. haha. So I don’t really know if I should aim for 60 days and start flushing or add more nitrogen.

      Thanks!

You have about a month to go- no more Nitrogen- including Cal/Mag- you are on the verge of toxicity ( N & P).
I would reduce nutrients until it lightens up in color and shine.
You do not have to worry about the lower leaves yellowing. I have a sativa that yellows the first week of 12/12.
Check run off pH. If you have to adjust- do it slowly - over a few weeks time.
I begin water only, after I see the first Amber trichomes.

Here’s a better picture from last night. I started putting the plant in the laundry room because the humidity was getting too high in the closet at night. I took the dryer sheets out of the laundry room as well to make sure to not mess up the plants smell.
With such a change in color on the large, order leaves from last night to now, coupled with having a month to go… Would withholding nitrogen for that long be OK? It seems like a nitrogen deficiency rather than toxicity?? I’ll check the runoff on my next watering and let you know the numbers.

Heres a question: let’s say the run off pH was at 5.5. Would I want to then give 6.5 ph to get a 6.0 ph level in the soil? Basically, is it like finding the mean?

            5.5+6.5=12/2=6.0

You can only go by what the plant is telling you, not a timetable. The next sign will be pistils darkening and curling as it gets closer to harvest.
If you follow my last post, you have it all covered by observing the plant- not a calendar. No matter how long or how soon it ripens.
Yes to using the mean for pH, being mindful you are simply looking to "drift" back in range.

The plant looks healthy in that picture. At least to me.

Nice plant, all you need to do is wait until she's done, at least a month, maybe longer.
I wouldn't worry much about the yellow leaves, that's how they look, growing in the wild, they are gonna turn yellow with age.Pretty plant.
PS, of course ,you have got to keep her alive, with water and feed, I sure wouldn't be using much nitrogen at all though. Lol.
You have done a nice job, with your plant.

It gets confusing when there are multiple posts on the same subject and you are likely to get different answers based on the information given by the OP in each thread.
