I've been very disciplined in not messing with her. Tomorrow morning she should be ready to feed. My hydrometer says about 2 - 2.5 on moistness in the soil and that's at the very bottom of the pot. As I draw it further up the soil its almost completely dry a little over a 1 in the dryest spot. Im pretty sure her roots are above the more moist soil anyhow shes not very big for her pot so I doubt the moisture at the bottom will effect her. I plan on running about half a gallon of 6.2 plain water before my nute mix.

I made my mix tonight so the silica can dissolved well by morning. My nute mix is..

    1Ml each of the following

    Advanced nutrients 3 part.
    cal mag
    rhino skin
    Seaweed
    vitamin b1
    and 1 oz turbinado sugar

my ph came to 6.28 and my ppm was 408.
i will check run off tomorrow.

Im thinking this should help tons. ill post a pic if she reinvigorates herself.

    Thanks again.

      Sounds like a great plan.

Smart of you to start off slow before using seeds you have to pay good money for. And Pharma is right, a few days wont hurt even if it does need nutes. Some strains just naturally need more nutes and others less.

So after checking this morning is still wanted to hold off a day, still a little wet. Shes starting to show a few different deficiencies. red veins on yellow leaves and leaves are clawing.

So I had a quick couple questions.

should I wait to trim the single bottom leaves that are the worst damaged or do it now.

Im thinking of adding 1.5 inches of pea stone to the bottoms of my pots, is this a good idea in fabric pots? Mine is situated on an elevator but the bottom seems to still hold water for a long time.

      Thanks in advance.

Once you ID the problem, than taking the affected leaves is a judgement call.
On the one hand, your plant is using it for food, but as you approach 35% leaf damage, you plant tries to save the leaf but adds stress to the plant.
I would remove after you feed it.

as far as pea stone is concerned- don't bother- just punch holes in the fabric bag where you want it to drain/dry out more.
It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

This morning she was finally dry enough to water. I fed her using a full gallon of plain water a 6.1 and a full gallon of nute mix at 6.0 and 438 ppm. I ended up with just under half a gallon (right around 15 -20%) of run off its ph came out a little high but not bad 7.2. Noticed part of my issue my damn 3 in 1 is broken probably been the cause of all of this. As you see in the pic. it says over 1 on the moisture kinda funny since its been out of the soil in a dry towel for over 20 hrs. Going to the lifting pot method only. Other than that she seems to have perked up some top set of leaves still clawing bad.

Looking much better. Watch your light height. Make sure they dont grow into it. You can actually be closer than 6 inches with a T5 but the plant grows so fast at that age you have to watch it closely.

Thank you. Little bit of a rough start for her. Shes taking off now though. Shes really starting to show the classic Cherry Pie purples all over her.

Just thought I'd update. I finally put her into flower today. You can see shes really grown in just over a month since the last posts. I hit her with a Hawaiian bloom/maxi crop foliar spray last night before her first 12 of darkness. As you can see I moved her into a 15 gallon tote which she has already overgrown shes sitting under an 1800 cob all by herself. Marching on for the mext 10-12 weeks.

Thanks for everyones help getting her to this point.

I'm leaning towards liking the bigger pots as well. Too bad I dont have enough room (yet) to grow 8 this size at once.

Dutchman1 I'm actually having a little difficulty figuring watering out on this larger container.

Took a ton of water til runoff almost 6 gallons it was expected though. I drilled holes all over the bottom of the tote, I also drilled holes all around the side about 3/4 to 1 inch up. I filled the bottom of the tote with 2 inches of clay pebbles. Filled the rest with heavy mix of perlite and soil. Drainage pours right out no restrictions.

But my confusion comes into the watering interval itself. First water in the tote was on the 27th I checked this morning and the soil was pretty dry. Thats only 6 days. I was watering 2 gallons every 7 days in the fabric pots. I wouldnt have thought it would be ready again this early especially since the fabric pots should dry much quicker than the tote. Shes not showing drooping so im holding off a bit still. Even factoring her larger size and water usage do you think being ready this early again is kinda strange after getting 6 gallons less than a week ago?

She measures 28in Width x 26in Depth x 18in Height with 24 - 26 visable top colas. I just ordered 2 of the lights in the link below to add to the flower tent. Bringing my total wattage to 2000. Around 500 watts from the wall.

Its funny because people say .5 gs per watt. I doubt I'm gonna get 1000 grams. Thats almost 36 ounces off one plant. lol.

So I have no idea to figure what the yield will be. Even at .25 grams per watt thats 500 grams (Almost 1 gram per actual watt.) or 16 ounces for one plant That even seems unobtainable to me. I'm thinking more of .5 gs per actual watt is realistic so maby 250 grams or so.

It's still a little early to think about harvest yet, if you get a couple of ozs,a plant that's not bad.
It depends on if your growing a plant that really wants to grow properly, you can feed all you want, but it's all about the plant itself if it wants to eat the food,. The plants have the last word, all you have to do is supply it's needs.

Lol Yeah I know. At least 9 more weeks of flower.

I just thought it was amusing. Because by just about everyones standard on this site points to me getting that much. It is absurd to use the .5 gs per watt as a measurement. That is no where near consistent or practical. Plus i hope more than a couple oz's. 😁 Shes about to go under 3 lights and fill a 4x4 all by herself.

Its .5 grams per watt from the wall not what the manufacturer says the wattage replacement is. Also some people and strains will do better and some worse.

                #27
The strain info says 3-6 ounces per square ft. Its in a 4x4 and most likely will fill up the tent wall to wall. Thats going to be almost the full 16 square feet. But what is weird is that even at only 2 ounces per square foot thats 32 ounces. Almost the original .5 gram per watt range. If it hit the minimum of 3 thats 48 ounces and if it hits the high end thats 96 ounces lol. no friggin way. haha

Ya, I think alot of light and seed sellers exaggerate there claims about what will be produced. Just do the best with what you have, enjoy the ride and the fruits of your labor at the end. As you get better and more experienced the yield will increase

                #28
Yea I'm way ahead of myself anyway. This plant came from bag seed and is just now showing a tiny bit of presex. I dont know if its even a she yet. I sure hope so though.

So looking through the sexing article here on gwe over again. Im 70% sure she female. Her nodes are pretty unevenly spaced, the stipules cross each other on most nodes, the presex seems to be long and pointed(but there are some I would say are round). I also did find one set of pistils on the plant today but only the one. So I guess my other 30% would lean to a hermaphrodite. Still kinda early to tell tonight I'm pretty sure I will know for sure tomorrow.
