and this is how it starts:

1 Jack Here Auto from GreenHouse Seeds via Seedsman
    3 gallon nursery pot
Roots Organic Original (amended) and additional nutrients as needed

      2 days old:

I was away and it sprouted- most likely on Saturday 3/25. The humidity was extremely low over the weekend bottoming out @15%. This will change with the seasons and better humidity will return.
Watered with protekt and changed to 20/4 light schedule now that it sprouted.
      72-80f with 15-24% rh

That's awesome. I planted 4 more strains a week ago and Jack was the first up like before. She just wants to GO!

      I week above ground-
Humidity continues in the teens with temps in the low 80s.
I set up a humidifier and in doing so the temp dropped to mid-upper 70's.
This should help the grow environment.

This is really compact at this point- single leaf and first regular leaf developing.

water/fed today and moved the LED down closer to be in the middle of veg range.
It should also, increase temp and I increased humidifier setting.

Green75 time to start plotting this one?
It's only 1 1/4" from the ground and on the 2nd true set of leaves.
If you look at the top down pic, the leave coloring is funky in pattern, but structure looks good.

It's 10 days old. (i'm tempted to snip the single leaves off now!)
Temp remains in the 66-78f range with humidity 32-63% rh (and increase in the upper limit)

ID:	75363 I haven't grown this strain, so not certain if I should switch to grow only mode which is 2/3 power (blue spectrum) or move the LED up. It had this coloring "out of the gate" so most likely not the light.
ps I have not had this leaf coloring on any previous grows, ao may just simply be "I don't know JACK" (Herer).

BTW_ I've used the tomato spreader/supports before too. The ones I've used have a grid across the hoop and I could never get the branches to spread like I wanted them too_ the grid was too confining_ the spacing between the grids was too tight. So this time I just hooked them into the sides of the smart pots. Looks like the spreader you're using has a hoop but no grid. I like that idea_be easier to work them to the outside and then let em grow up around the hoop.....The one's I've used do a good job of keeping the colas spread out though and when you have some heavy buds they also do a great job of supporting them without any external ties or supports. Very mobile system.
Maybe I can just cut the grid out of the center of the hoops I have...
Do you use the spreaders for both autos and photoperiod?

Yes the tomato cages are my "easy/lazy" go to method. Sometimes I use them with the widest opening at the top and other times I invert them.
This grow I am looking to do differently and try a more aggresive LST/HST training as the plant dictates.

First off..what's your ph...Did you rinse off that gnat nix before using it..if not that might be the cause..

She small but mighty...Just bend her completely over and stake her down...cut leaves after the head stands back up

She is a prime candidate to bend over...my $.02

The pH was @ 6.0 on April 1st (I don't usually check it unless there is a problem, as it's an organic grow and runs between 5.8-6.2 regardless of what pH water-you put in. I water with pHed @6.0.

Good point on the gnatnix- I have never considered rinsing it! Thank you Green75 .
I will remove the gnatnix, rinse and return.

I will have to wait for her to grow a bit before I can bend her over.
Are you thinking bending to 90ish degrees and run parallel to the soil?
Then run her around the diameter of the container?

I replaced using NEW pre-rinsed gnatnix and then watered with ample water @ pH 6.4
Moved the LED up a few inches- and will see how it is in a few days!

17 days old- before and after defoliation.
I took the single leaves-first true leaves and 1 of the third node. (close or hanging over container edge)

Fed, Neem spray and adjusted light to full grow/bloom and 20/4 schedule. Back in tent with lights off for 3 hours)
temps 73-78f and 37-53% RH- humidifier still running on low.

Update: day #24- I haven't done much to the plant itself- a little tie down.

Temperature swings and I changed LED setting to accommodate- back to full grow/bloom lights for maximum lights- will resume lowering the lights, also.
              69-81f with a RH 30-48%.

This plant is too wet: turned off humidifier, used chopsticks to aerate and turned the fan up all the way and will increase lights to 24/0.

Jack responded well- so I trimmed the large fan, blocking the future bud site's on the horizontal stem.
Cleaned up a few leaves on the soil.

I'm ready for the growth spurt which should be happening during the week!
