    Hello friends!

My girl's in her second week of flowering today She's growing so quickly that it's becoming more and more difficult to take pics of the full plant!

Everything seems to be going swimmingly so far; the main concern I have at the moment is running out of room!

The tips of the tallest colas began to show their first signs of buds a couple of days ago The 'budlets' which are growing further down the stem have begun to fatten up a bit as well! Some of them have a light coating of white "frost" on them, so I suppose she's finally beginning to fit into her name

      Day 25 of flowering:

She's coming along nicely It seems that she's growing out the last of her leaves as the buds continue to swell and reach upwards. The only worries I'm having are concerning the yellowing tips on the sugar leaves. I flushed the root system with plain pH'd (~6.0) water yesterday, so if it's due to nutrient levels or pH issues, I'm hoping that helps a bit.

      Peace!

        Hi julik
Sorry I am late to the party.

Yes, the yellowing tips are from high levels of EC. Do you track EC or PPM?

The plants and buds look great!

Campesino I only track pH, I haven't ventured much into looking into tracking EC or PPM- though I have been considering tracking PPM for my next grow.
        Thanks! I'm a proud dad

Very nice and frosty looking buds. Plant looks good too. I wouldn't worry too much about those leaves starting to turn yellow at the tips. It wasn't too extreme and you caught it just in time and fixed the issue. It looked like the beginning stages of too many nutes. Might want to ease up on the PPM just a bit on your next feeding. Awesome job btw!

Thank you! I've been taking it a bit easier on the nutes, and giving a bit more plain water than usual every other feeding. She seems to be doing great

      Hi friends!

I'm out of town this weekend visiting the family, and likely won't be back home for a couple of days. I gave the girl a big drink of fresh water before I left, hopefully she'll be alright for a bit
So in the meantime I'll leave this here! A simple time lapse photo showing the buds growing and fattening over the course of the last week. I love looking at shit like this, the subtlety and power of nature never fails to interest me. The last photo (Day 33) was taken just before I left.

      Have a restful weekend! Peace

        Greetings all!

Today was my girl's 37th day of flowering, and as you can see, the buds are continuing to ripen and some (~30%) of the pistils have turned orange and curled inward. There's some yellowing on the leaves, but she still has plenty of green foliage, so (for now) I assume it's due to the effects of flowering. Buds seem to be unaffected.

Her odor, while subtle, is definitely getting stronger. The only way I can describe it is "dank," in the most literal sense of the word: damp-smelling and musty. This seems to be somewhat in line with the scent notes usually associated with White Widow, so there's that!

I also recently got my hands on an attachable macro lens for my iPhone, so as you can imagine I've been taking plenty of trichome porn I've included a couple pics that I took today. As expected, very few of the trichomes have turned cloudy, and those that have are mostly located on the sugar leaves and older buds. From what I'm seeing now, I'm thinking that harvest time will happen around day 60. I, of course, invite someone to tell me otherwise

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start. Peace!

Those buds are really coming along nicely. Great job! The scent you described sounds like my Ww as well lol. I don't have a carbon filter (it's on my "things to buy next" list), so you can imagine how amazing my bedroom smells lol. I have several room deodorizers around so that helps a bit, but not as well as I'd like.

        Hello friends!

Not much new to report as the buds keep on fattening up. Today's her 44th day, so I'm thinking there's only about 7-10 days left before I should start flushing.
I'm planning on buying some blackstrap molasses to add to the water during flush, to improve her size / scent / flavor. Right now her scent is still pretty tame, but when the resin gets on your hands, it kinda smells like fruit loops cereal! Can't wait to smell the final product.

        Peace!

Evening julik, Beautiful buds, great job.
If they were mine ,all i would give them from now to harvest is Blackstrap molasses and water. BrerRabbit brand from the grocery store is the cheapest, plus it's got more good stuff in it than Grandma's brand molasses. 1-2tablespoons a gallon.

D.A.A.S.69 Thanks for the suggestion! I recently saw Grandma's brand at my local grocery store, but I was wary since it wasn't labelled as blackstrap molasses, and I wasn't sure of the quality of the brand. As a southerner, growing up I always had blackstrap molasses in the house, but usually you only had to buy one jar every 6 months or so- the stuff's pretty potent

Hey julik, I live in Mississippi, and I know what you mean, about being strong stuff on a buttered biscuit, Lol
Grandma's brand is fine as long as it's unsulfered.
You did a great job with your plants, Congratulations. They are beautiful.

        Greetings all!

Today's day 52, and harvest time is getting closer and closer. I keep feeling that eagerness to chop, but I know that waiting will only help the buds be more worthwhile in the end I imagine that she'll probably come down in the next week or so, but I welcome any objections to this!
I've been flushing her with water and molasses since about day 47 (3 feedings total so far), and the molasses does seem to be helping the buds swell up and mature a bit. Her odor is definitely noticeable, but not very strong or pervasive at all. I think this is partly due to her natural odor's earthy sweetness; I imagine if I were growing Sour Diesel or something of that sort, the story would be very different

Along with the usual progress photo, I've included a couple glamor shots of her largest buds. I took these with the flash on, to accentuate how frosty they look

Any harvest time suggestions would be great!! (eg: light dep before harvest? maybe next week too early / too late?).

Next time I post may be harvest day! We'll see!!
Peace! Happy summer to those in the northern hemisphere

Hey Julik, those are beautiful, but I wouldn't get in any hurry, about harvesting, you still got 3weeks, maybe longer.
They are gonna get larger, too.

I read if you drop the humidity super low like 15% - 20% at the end it will increase the frostiness of the buds . The crystals for to protect the buds and it packs them on to help trap in moisture lost due to the low humidity . Also plants produce thc at night which is the whole point of the dark phase

          Just my thoughts

Your girl seems to be coming along very nicely julik. Very nice, juicy-looking buds too. Great job! I agree with the rest, patience is key. I believe my Ww is about 4 days behind yours. She looks almost ready as well. It's all patience and trichs from this point on.

Thank you all for the well wishes! I'm definitely giving her at least another week to get bigger and make more of the good stuff I am a bit worried that I decided to stop giving nutes and flush too soon, because most of the leaves have begun to yellow / lighten in color. However, I know this is typical at this stage, and since many of the yellowed leaves haven't fallen off yet, I'm confident she can make it through the next 7 days.
For the next week I'm planning on practicing using my shitty clip-on macro lens to observe the trichomes, so that way I can have a more definitive answer when the time comes

            Peace!

I got another week or so myself here - been flushing last four feedings (couple with molasses) so just think how smooth that smoke will be after a proper curing.

At this stage I wouldn't worry about the leaves' discoloration. It's perfectly natural. The majority of my fan leaves and some sugar leaves are more discolored than yours and I'm about 4 days behind you lol. Besides, she looks like she still has enough nutes in her to last until harvest. So stay the course.
