Sprayed plants and tent with Spinosad, watered soil with it too, then topped soil with DE. Next day, took a leaf with the 'spots' on the underside, and put it in a jar to observe. Next day (yesterday), found that the 'spots' had hatched into crawling white (almost translucent) mites. So, treatments did not kill them yet.
Treated plants and tent walls with Azamax. I've not seen any actual crawling mites on the plants, just the little white pods (eggs?). The plants are looking very sad, many leaves are wilted or yellow. Foleage not nearly as dense as it had been ( have picked off many yellow leaves), though buds are big juicy, and not really very far from where I would harvest anyway. Examining buds with a loupe lots of trichomes, and no obvious signs of damage. Though many leaves are yellow or wilted, there's no obvious signs of them being eaten, so I wonder if the real infestation is down at the roots. Or, isi that just a symptom of the plants just reaching the end of the flowering, and basically 'done' anyway. This is my first time with this strain (Ringo's Gift == ACDC + Harley Tsu). Things always got a bit weird towards harvest with ACDC, the only strain I'd grown previously, so maybe this is not even related to the mite infestation.
I'm thinking of just harvesting and cutting my losses. Would have in another 10 days anyway. This strain is high CBD:THC ratio, and all I do is make whole plant RSO from it. Should not be as affected by the exact harvest time as if growing bud for vaping. My concern is that the little buggers aren't going to just conveniently quit multiplying and sucking because the plant is now hanging upside-down to dry. One thought, is to skip the air drying, and go straight to decarboxylating them in my oven. Would set temp at 180F, convect, until dry, then finish at 235F (my usual decarb temp). I understand that that would make a terrible smoke or vape, but can't see where it would hurt my yield of CBD etc. in the finished concentrate. My wife, who is ill uses about 100mg of CBD / day, which helps her quite a bit. Though she cannot tolerate much THC, we've found that pure CBD isolate (i.e. from Hemp) doesn't help. There has to be some THC (entourage effect).
Whole grow picture colors are off due to the LED's.
Thoughts anyone?3 PhotosLast edited by jalapeno; 08-04-2019, 12:53 PM.

Not sure about it being aphids. The linked article says that aphid nymphs are born live, not hatched from eggs. The little dots I'm seeing appear to be immobile. No legs, just a tiny pellet, that eventually shrivels up and a tiny creature with legs then wanders off. Others have identified my earlier photo as mites. I suppose I could have some of each, but none of what was visible on the single leaf in the picture seemed to have and mobility. Some of the other symptoms are consistent with aphids though.Last edited by jalapeno; 08-04-2019, 04:00 PM.

I take it back. On examination with a loupe, these do have legs. They don't crawl around at all, but if I poke them with a pin point, they do move slightly, then stop. Possible that they've been harmed by the Spinosad and Azamax, but not completely killed?. The earlier photo I posted which was on the top of a leaf, may have been mites, as identified by a pro grower friend of mine. b/c those actually 'hatched', leaving a thin brownish husk, and what looked more like spider mites crawling around. Bottom line is, that whatever I've got, quite possibly more than one pest, I need to judge, what's to gain, and what's to lose by waiting to harvest and continuing to apply organic pesticides, and even then, how do I stop aphids/mites from continuing to damage the cut plants while they start to dry.
There's no way to get them out of the tent and outdoors in their pots to wash with running water and back in, as they are growing through a ScrOG screen. If I decide to cut, then I could wash them off outside before drying them, OR, as I suggested just dry them in a warm oven.

Please Help! After moving the new light in a few days ago my plants have shown very bright-green new growth. Question is, do you think it's light stress or iron deficiency etc.? They are 10 days into flower. Coco soil mix in 4-5 gal pots, recently defoliated and Lst. Approx 18 inches from light today although I shifted them up just then so looking at 20 inches now.3 Photos

Hi Ichiban: This may help you: https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabi...ems/light-burn

Thanks alltatup, I did check out that topic page top to bottom. I feel there was an element of stress rather than a deficiency. One thing that was interesting was the pic showing the leaves "praying". Upon checking them today they have settled in terms of colour but have started to "pray". I've made some adjustments and dropped the light watts to just the 450w so I hope it will stop the issue.

Looks like calcium problems on top picture. To much nuts with no calcium/mag. Try epson salt 1 teaspoon per gallon. Or buy calmag using a teaspoon per gallon. But flush and flush again. Had same problem right before flowering. Thought I was adding enough. But I Flush once a week so it wasn't adding much. Last 2 watering s with calmag added no nutrients and fast recovery. Some feeding schedules posted work on some and over dies it on other plant types. Mine was gorilla glue #4. Realised a little to late stunned it a bit. But flowering into a nice bush with 6 colas filled with white pistols. Your in the early stages. So you should recover fast. With in a few weeks you'll notice crunchy leaf tips are all gone. I would remove those leaves that are crunchy.

Hello guys, I was hoping someone can help , with my problem. It started at the end of veg stage then is progressing into flowering. The leaf starts with a light green spots then the leaf started to turn brown. It looks like a ph issue but the water I've been feeding it ph is 6.35. So I'm starting to think it might be a nutrient issue? Thanks for any help.Last edited by Seanfitzy; 08-10-2019, 03:07 PM.

Hi Sean, I think you're right. This will help: https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabi...h-fluctuations
I'd give em a good flush to stop nute lockout and give the roots a breather. https://www.growweedeasy.com/flushing-sick-cannabis

Hey, new here, first time posting. I have a few plants, all different strains, all looking good except this one, supposedly White Widow. I'm thinking a deficiency but not sure what. I'd appreciate some experience to help my lady5 Photos

Hi freak, First thing I'd do is check very closely for insects; I'm not sure if I see spots that could be from insects or not.
If you're feeding her according to your nute instructions, then it's probably not a deficiency. What's your pH in and out? You need to provide us with more information about your grow.
