Does Bloom setting on LED matter?

My LED has Veg and Bloom switches. I have been running the light with both switches on just figuring full spectrum is better. I've read the reasoning behind "Bloom" settings but it sounds kind of hype-like.
I've also got good PPFD etc. with both settings ON.

Thoughts from the more experienced about spectrums would be welcome.

I got a light a couple months ago that is 120w veg and two 50 w reds that can all be turned on and off. I used one red in veg to keep the heat up but two was to much in the smaller tent.

Red spectrum light does promote flowering and I know a lot of folks use it and a lot of light panels are now featuring that option. It’s the dimming and diminishing light and red spectrum that triggers flowering in nature. I myself rarely use extra red once flowering is underway as most panels these days are full spectrum enough to include red and ultraviolet wavelengths and flowering once active is controlled by hours of contiguous darkness.

Once the plants are established run both.and save up for a good light.

          LOL SmokeSteve,
I think that sums it up pretty well. I'm doing the 12:12 light and figure leaving it full spectrum for now they can figure out what they want. Nothing like 10,000 years of natural selection to get the job done
