Bastard has been curing for about 2 months now. She still smells like a Twinkie. Love it. Her taste on the inhale is sweet and earthy. Exhale is kinda nutty. This is smoke a whole joint weed. Very nice relaxing but not debilitating buzz. Doesn't hit you hard at first like many newer strains tend to do 'cough...scarlet grapes'. This is the closest if come to old school 90s weed.
I see several breeders messing around with crosses so I'm sure in 5 or so years you'll be seeing bastard cookies and bastard runtz and bastard glue and the like. From what I understand is they aren't having much luck in passing the leaf mutation as the gene is recessive. But just like freakshow they will figure it out.

Happy Friday
jarred up the bastard today and finally did a test toke.
Jesus I read that this a low THC strain. Something like 5%. Um bullshit. I am fucking hiiiiiiigggggh. But not like new age weed high but old school back in the 90s high if that makes sense. Wow no paranoia or anxiousness just mellow. A lot of these newer strains hit me a little too hard at first then they mellow out. This one's nice. Just a slow build......
Fuck anyhoo the smell right now is hard to nail down. Ever smelled a Twinkie?

Happy Saturday. Having technical issues here so bear with me. Took the bastard down today. That's about 10weeks flower. Due to some light leaking into the spare bedroom she began to Hermie. Finished with a honeysuckle and pineapple smell but no weed dank smell just sweet. Won't get alot off her but she was fun to grow. Gonna plant the clones in the flower bed next spring if I can keep them alive. I induced flower a full month late so she should have no problem finishing in zone 6 and up.

Have to say the buds are a little undramatic with the dull brown pistils. She is a lot frostier than I expected.

Yeah, I've done alot of clones without it. Just have it laying around, lol. Gonna try and take cutting off my lilac and rose bushes next year.

We got roots. I just took an extreme lower branch and stuck them in some potting soil. Didn't have any rooting hormone and I still question it's viability. Used to do cuttings en mass during horticulture studies and we found no advantage as to it's use vs fresh cut into substrate. Granted we did mostly peppers and eggplant.

Why'd you put them all in one container, you plan on culling now that they've made it?
If you can see roots, I'd get them all potted separately as soon as you can. Before you have a tangled mess during the attempt to transplant. I've made this mistake.
I'm happy to say that I just had all 18 attempted clones from that Big Bud root extremely well in seven days! Don't know what I'ma do with them though, lol. This year I found these little coco pods(just like Jiffy pellets). I use a rooting hormone powder dip, into pod, then into propigator, and mist every other day. This way I can see the roots coming out of the pods.
Also, been meaning to ask ya about that WW Seed Bank...are all their seeds white label packaged?Last edited by Blowdout2269; 10-23-2022, 05:43 PM.
