That's cool Catfish22 - like the tie downs on your pots - this us what I do to my fabric pots if I'm planning on LST - need cleaning but just ran 12 Guage electrical wire through them and let the weight of the soil to hold em in place.

Hey Canuck147 , Catfish22 here's another idea for tie-down wires. I use safety pins in my fabric pots it allows me to put a wire anywhere around the pot. These are not autos but best pic I have showing them.

Great tutorial Canuck I am new to autos so I definitely appreciate you sharing your knowledge

i use hole punch. ya know the kind for paper. punch a little hole out about ever 2 inches around the top. then youll have alot of tie down spots. that what i use anyway.
where do people get the scrogs? the like metal grids or plastic grids they place over the plant. where do you get those?

lol I tried using safety pins, but I musta been pretty stoned, I didn't think of putting them through vertically like that so they wouldn't slide

Watering with full strength nutes - Bruce here needed a trim - took a few off - I always try to combine watering day and haircut day on the same day. A before pic on the bottom.

I have found out in past grows that autoflowers grow so fast that this type of trimming is like a game to them.
They're standing saying g 'Oh yeah - trim a few off? I'll just grow more back,'
And they do - trimming off as many as I did today - well myself could probably trim off just as many in a few days.
Gots to keep the airflow and light moving throughout the plant as best one can.

        #97
Another reason why I love autoflowers - check out the pistils - not a great pic but if you look at the pics above you can see the pistils better - or lack of.

Anyways - 2 o'clock position is Cookies her pistils are happening - Lucy at 6 o'clock has more pronounced pistils and Bruce at 10 o'clock is still kinda in preflower pistils expected any day.

So this tells me these girls should ripen at different times - so harvesting should be staggered as well. Which suits us fine

Gotta be around 45? I think I mentioned it somewhere earlier?
I used to bother about that - not so much anymore - even the seed producers timelines - all three are 'supposed' to be 65 - 80 days - but I think I've slowed that down a bit - as in longer. Not until I see my favorite redhead - Amber.

What you are seeing is the start of the bud sites. They will continue to grow, fastly, and you will start to see that tangly mess at the stalk unless you keep it thinned. Try not to damage any until you decide what to keep.

PS I saw your other post. That's how I knew what you were talking about!

That's why I say don't mess with any sites until your sure you want to remove them.

Lucy was turning into a bush so she lost a few leaves .
Light keeps getting raised daily - that's a good thing - but not if Cookies stretches too much.

I use the lights ppfd map (the center of the light has the most ppfd/intensity) to my advantage in this case, you can keep your light closer to a plant out on the edge. I put the taller ones on the edges or even corners of the tent and shorter ones in the middle and then they all get the same ppfd/intensity of light in hopes of keeping node spacing closer. This is helpful during flower to, with a flat canopy the middle will cook while the edges are perfect but if the middle plant is 25 inches away and the ones on the edges are at 18" they're getting closer to the same amount of light

I think if I understood what you were trying to say was you had to move your light because one plant was getting to tall. You didn't like having to move the light because it was possibly going to make your other plant stretch. So I posted what I do when this happens to me. Now I'm thinking that I misunderstood your post and so my post doesn't make sense to you.

I do that also MeEasy i'm still working with my new light, i need to do a full grow with it to check the spacing with new seedlings. I might have another month on my autos. Mine are in with some photo clones at 20/4 time. I've got zero space in tents and 4 beautiful GG#4 clones i made waiting to get into that tent, love to give these away

I would never of had the patience to grow this wonderful plant when I was younger. Now, being on disability but not quite at retirement age, I have the interwebs, good weed and nothing better to do.

          I enjoy them all!

Hey Canuck147 , just thought I'd show how my plants are doing at 25 days after trying to utilize some of the info from this thread. Didn't start as early as you did unfortunately so I didn't top them, but I have been trying to tie them down and defoliate in a similar way. The bigger one is no Bruce but I am happy with her so far, she seems to have loved her recent haircuts. The smaller one I may have been a bit hack happy with, I think she'll be okay in a couple days though. Apologies if you'd rather not have me post something like this on the thread.
        - 4'x4'x6.5' tent
        - 2 Cookiedawg, 2 Ice Cream Punch, all photoperiod, Sprouted Jan 25th
        - 5 gallon fabric pots raised about 1.5" for airflow and easy runoff cleanup
        - 2 spider farmer SF2000 at 85% 2ft over front plants much closer to back plants
        - Soil is FF Ocean Floor bottom 1/2 or so and top is FF Happy Frog
        - Water in veg was about 6.6PH and 78 degrees Fahrenheit, 6.3PH for flowering
        - RH usually around 50% Temp ranging from 78 Fahrenheit to 83 Fahrenheit
        - 6" Oscillating fan clipped to tent pole for air flow within tent
        - 6" carbon filter and fan for exhaust, 4" carbon filter and fan for intake

They both blew up a full Inch overnight on me and the smaller one showed me she was just fine with her haircut by having most of the leaves on her branches grow 25-30% bigger. I've just got to remember she has always been a few days slower than her sister.

I see youse two let the bindings off.
Yup - me and myself we released em.
        Why.? I ask.
cuz they look like what we wuz doing has kinda set in - the branches are doing what we asked them to.
I see - so like the title says 'autoflower training ' - training part is over? If so I'll just close this thread down now before you guys make mistakes.
Go ahead - me and myself will still post pics.
        I'll steal the camera.
Camera's built into the tablet you're typing on. Me I wouldn't call that typing - he's just poking at it with one finger.
I'll put duct tape over the lens.
        You couldn't find it.

Anyways - full strength nutes today - took outside for watering and pics.
Cookies has stretched up to 27 inches - Lucy has put one a few inches and her pistils are brightening up - Bruce is still kinds holding off on her pistils - got lotsa spots for them.
