Hey Canuck147 Are you tempted to top them after the first two real nodes? I'm just wondering since we're dealing with really healthy looking autos, perhaps sooner might be better?

How does everyone feel about those closely following this thread posting a few pics of our real-time auto training efforts? Three of my babies just popped their first leaves and I'm planning to do what you do in the early stages of this grow. "Value Add," or the dreaded "Thread Hijack???"
My goal is epicurean quality rather than high yield.
I'm learning how to create cannabis tinctures and hashish and I almost always use a vaporizer to spare my aging lungs.
Despite my avatar name I'm generally amenable and helpful. So, if there's a question I'm qualified to answer, hit me up!

Sorry SoOrbudgal, all of us are having a little fun with it. If it ain't fun, why do it, lol. Sometimes sophism can be a little confusing without a sense of humor. I'll butt out if you wish....

TOKABIGONE I had to look up that word as i'm not as sophistocated in knowing these terms. Here's the babble i'm talking about useless. Sophism def.= A fallacious argument, especially one used deliberately to deceive. Next?

Group pic shows em dry and ready for watering - me likey.

About time you showed up - and no they aren't dry enough yet. Doncha remember that little experiment we did this morning? The one where we weighed the carcass of a harvested plant with the totally dried out pot. Then we weighed Bruce for comparison. Click image for larger version

That is how I make SURE I don't overwater, weigh em all. Fortunately for myself I have time to do it, I know others don't.
However you sir have plenty of helpers in your tent, rather crowded in there...

LSD is supposed to be a colorful plant - i plan on letting her have a solo overnighter outside - when I can count on what the temp will be.

My question to anybody - at which stage do I do it? Fully in flower or just as the flowering begins?

Took the girls out to the kitchen sink for watering - gets a bit warmer I'll take them outside.

Bruce was the tallest at 3.5 inches - couldn't find the tape measure with metric sorry Captain - other 2 were at 3 inches

Started with plain water and last watering had a smattering of nutes - today they got full strength nutes. One of the girls had her first single leaves snipped off- they were looking ugly.

I know I said I wipe the tent down every time I take them out - discussions ensued and we all decided that 2 days ago we wiped the tent down really good - so we'll work on cleaning it once a week instead.

Pics are taken before watering and I'll be back in a few days when t he LST begins. Hopefully topping as well.

Bruce is working on node 6 - the 2 others 1 node behind. Not topping today - but - did start LST on Bruce. Removed the first nodes branches as well as the second nodes fan leaves - easier to attempt the training with them out of the way.

After this little chop - chop I'll see how she reacts - then off with her head.

I'm a new grower. 2nd grow inside a 2x2x4 tent. Growing autos as well. Following advice given here I top at the 5th. So far no issues at all. All my plants are healthy before topping. I'm in Michigan (legal state) so it's a fun hobby.

I just removed 2 fans on 2 plants that are very healthy autos. But they have short bud site stems so i don't want those yet to LST i may not at all ? Hey Canuck147 is it OK to talk about our autos were doing on this thread, maybe you can answer some things? Do ya wanna ?

Give those shorts shoots a few days and they'll be ready - probably similar to the pic above - third mode stems are too short for the LST yet.

Bruce was topped today - Cookies and Lucy are still a bit behind. The way Bruce is growing tells me she was a good candidate for topping. Now Lucy has nodes growing very close together - tells me if I top her she just may be indignant enough to stop growing vertically altogether. I have grown 9 inch tall autoflowers in the past - although they do get bushy - but difficult to train cuz my fat fingers get in my way sometimes.

Bruce is insanely Leggy, like three inches tall and 1/32" wide! Following your progress intently Canuck147.
