New to growing, should I LST or ‘topping’ so plants don’t keep growing like Christmas trees in order to produce more colas? Thanks for suggestions/help

LST, I never top. But that is a personal choice -

1 3x3x6 tent- used in late spring for seedlings both veggies & weed. I have 2 viparspectar 450r for that tent.
I use a t-5 & 54watt CFL for seedlings
Sometimes i use plastic sometimes i use fabric grow containers
Currently using fish/guano during veg growth & FF Grow Big 6-4-4 teens to bloom. Once i see pre-flower i switch to
Age Old Organics Bloom 5-10-5

I've been topping but am reconsidering. Topping may give more colas but, in my case, it adds at least three weeks to the overall growth time.C'mon, mule!

I leave the next lower set of branches/bud sites alone after I top. This gives me four main colas, as topping a second time would.C'mon, mule!

When plants are that small...I just top them. I don’t have much luck LST small plants for some reason. I bend the main stem, it twists...but no lower branches are effected. I end up topping anyway because the main stem is now an “S” shape with no improvement on number of bud sites.
