HELP! Leaves are starting to turn brown at the top.

    Hello,
I started this grow using a 400w MH and last Monday I purchased a 1000w MH kit (see photos) I noticed some of the leaves turning brown close to the top. The light is 29Inches above the plants.
The temperature has been alittle high 29 to 31 degrees. But not for long I have been able to keep tbe temp around 26 to 28 degrees. I think its one of 3 things.
    #1 temperature to high.
    #2 Light to close.
    #3 To much nutrients.
Any tips would be a great help this is my first grow.
    Thanks
    Steve

I’ll tag along as I just did something similar - went from 300W to 1000W for a single Skywalker OG clone.

She’s about 20 inches tall and 18 inches across.

The first 18/6 cycle with the new light made her droop but NO discoloration. I was about 16 inches above her. Went to 24 inches, and about to start super cropping, so I’ll be in the 22-28 inch light distance.

The grow chamber is 21d x 35w x 62h. I have a carbon/HEPA air mover in the chamber and the LED light does have a cooling fan. I have an outboard humidifier and stay about 40-45% RH.

So, learned growers of cannabis...too much light? Again, she looks GREAT, but only 4 days into HIGH BEAM living.

Droopy plants is typically a watering practice issue. Too much heat/light and leaves form taco shape where it folds into itself.

If the problem started after changing lights then change it back for a minute.
The damage look to be in the middle of the plant, not right on top.
what is your grow medium, PH, and watering practices?
    You're killing me Smalls!

Too much nutes creates burnt looking leaf tips. So it doesn’t appear to be that. This looks more like a PH issue.

        Hi Toker1,
Thanks for your help I did a plain watering and tested the PPM and it was 1945 the PH was 5.7. I will try to keep the ppm around 900 and do a plain watering every 3rd watering.
        Thanks again

I did a watering with no nutrients P.H 5.8 and I tested the run off watter the P.H was 5.6 and the PPM was 1945. Im sure that had to be the problem.

The PH is a bit low for soil. Fox farm (not sure which soil you are using) suggests 6.3-6.8 for their soil.

Yes it is...if run off is 5.6 from 5.8 in, that means the root zone is lower than 5.6.
