when to clone??

If you are only removing one branch... she will recover fine and you can flip anywhere from a few days to right away. If you are taking a large amount of clippings, anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on how much of the plant you are removing and how finicky the phenotype is.

Ok. You can take a cutting up to two weeks into flower. But they are best taken in veg before flower starts. Just make sure the mother is healthy before the cut.
So you cut the branch as close to the stalk it is attached to as possible. You want at least 3-4 nodes minimum on the clone. Get a fresh clean razor and cut the clones stem end at a 45 deg angle. If you can make that cut right beneath a node, that will work best. It’s not always possible you want the stem to be around 4” or longer.
