    When to stop LSTing

Hi all. I have been LSTing my 6 autos for several weeks. This my first time doing this. That said, 5 out of 6 are beginning to go into their flowering stage, with lots of pistols forming. Should I continue bending branches and tying when there are buds forming? Also, I've been taking leaves off that shade buds, and often they're upper leaves, not just around the bottom of the plants. ??

Until they stop growing leaves and stems, about 2-3 weeks into flower, and that’s fine it’ll give your budsites more light to grow with!
    Grow and good luck

Do you mean 2 to 3 weeks from the very beginning of starting to flower? When pistols have been there for 2/3 weeks? If so, then my window is closing. Thanks furrysparkle!

I agree with furrysparkle, I usually turn mine loose in about the 2nd week in flower.

Greenpassion, I might add. You want to keep a cola in check that shots up faster then others. Keep bending that one down to keep it level with the rest.

Well I didn't do the greatest job. I'll post pics in the morning, but I don't have a flat even canopy. Definitely not a Christmas tree shape, but not a flat even canopy either. Next grow I'll do better.

What I mean is, eventually your plant will stop growing leaves and stems so you won’t need to LST anymore, however you will still need to delifolate as needed.

With most strains they stop about 2-3 weeks after you switch to flower however every plant is different, simply keep them all at about the same level so you can give them the most of your grow light.

Another question on the LSTing. Should I be taking the lower leaves off now? And, I've been tucking leaves, but also taking leaves off to expose lower buds. Have I slowed them down by taking leaves? I take 2 to 4 off each plant nearly every time I adjust or begin bending out a new branch.

I want to thank you all for your responses. I'm really bad at responding to messages and posts. Got too much going on I guess. But I do appreciate all your help!

That really depends on your plant, the real question is; is your plant utilizing 100% of the available light footprint? Any leaves you remove should only be for increasing the airflow within your plant.

Oh. I've been taking them off to expose Buds and Bud sites.

Just try not to take but 1-2 leaves every couple of days on your autos, and you will be fine. Take to many to soon and you could slow em down some.

Shit. I'm worried that maybe that's what I have done. I've probably taken two or more every other day or so. I just can't get used to these Autos. I find them stressful because they seem so problematic because of the timing of everything that is in their control. Haha! Maybe I have control issues!

I contacted kind soil about the yellowing leaves on plant number three. He said never to ever add magnesium or anything to the kind soil. However, with today's watering, I did. He seemed pretty irritated to me, and adamant about anyone using kind soil should never add anything to it. Oh well...

Right, Phil don't want you to use anything with KindSoil, but I have used a bunch of stuff with mine.
Even used cal-Mag several times, with no problems I could tell.
It doesn't kill all the microbes, using cal-mag, maybe if you used it all the time it might though.

Well I don't think Epsom salts would kill any beneficial microbes. I mean I could be wrong but it doesn't seem like it would.
