Waking up to new beans and favorable weather makes my day. Don't think the weather will be much of a big deal but mother nature has been bipolar this year. Never know when there will be a heat wave. Going to home depot later to grab an exhaust for the shop though. Just got to figure out how/where to tie it in. Going to get it up and running soon as the girls are ready. 😃.https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...-she-s-a-beast

Never used these jiffy pellets before. Somehow one of the blue cheese found it's way to the very bottom of the pellet but looks like it's trying to root so I just loosened up the pellet so it didn't have to fight through it. The other blue cheese has a tap root but can't seem to shed the husk of the seed. Not sure if I should try to remove it or place a little wet soil on top to moisten it up.
Not sure if I should plant them in pots or let them grow some roots before potting. They're not really taking off in the pellets like I assumed they would. Seemed like I had ones take off faster with the paper towel to solo cups.
Wife wants me just to get a new tent for these and close the shop down till we can get everything installed. This will save a bit of money for now. But makes my title misleading, and previous posts irrelevant.
Any thoughts as to potting now, and trying to remove the shell??https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...-she-s-a-beast

Day 4 since popping. Planted jiify pellets in 1gallon pots before transplanting into final home. Blue cheese still struggling to release seed husk and other blue cheese hasn't poked its head. Might get one out of the blue cheese. Debating on trying to germ my last bc seed.
Not much else going on just hoping they start flourishing soon. Not sure if it's just an auto thing or my germ method or soil I chose...but all photos I've grown so far have sprouted faster and more vigorously in the first few days. I'll be patient and just tell them you can do it ladies 😆.

Don't know what's going on with the bluecheese one didn't germinate and the other won't open up. Reclaimed the one that didn't germinate from jiffy pellet trying the papertowel method on it before I give up. The others are doing well...perky and I'll probably have to raise the cfls soon. I have one led light daylight bulb in there but seems like the plants enjoy the cfls more. Not much else to report. Waiting on soil and should be here in time to transplant might only be growing 4 instead of 6 if these bluecheese don't make it. Happy growing!!

Well blue cheese is out of the equation now. Germinated seed just isn't going to make it. Won't open up and it's been 7 days in a fetal position. Other seed looked like it was going to germinate in the paper towel but alas no tap root.
Got these 4 rolling though gg#4 and skywalker. Had to raise the cfls a bit and the skywalkers look like they might be a little more sensitive to light. My instinct when I saw curled leaf formation and a little discoloring was to raise those lights a bit more...this makes me want to buy another light but not in the budget unless I can get a go on the shop. Convincing the wife to spend money efficiently instead of economically is hard 😆.
I won't have to buy the tent to grow in if I put in a thermostat exhaust....the light schedule doesn't matter for autos...so no fret about light leaks. Don't have to buy ducting or an exhaust for a tent so that leaves me money to play with for drip system/light rail/light. And I had already budgeted for the rest of the grow and the grow challenge coming soon so that's all accounted for. Just have to put it in writing for her I guess 😃.
Greenfields coming in this coming week and I'm hoping sooner then later. I'd like to be prepared to transplant and don't want to wait too long if they keep up like this...think they're finally spreading those roots now.... Happy growing all.2 Photoshttps://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...-she-s-a-beast

Amazing how vigorously these plants are growing. Looking at my pics from 2 days ago when I first thought of my needs for transplanting. Now I'm realizing I don't have much time to get these gals in a new home and my soil won't arrive for another week. I'm pretty sure I'll be transplanting in the next day or 2.
So from now on I'm not going to "plan" anything. Everything that was planned has fallen apart imo 😆. Now I have to find a water only soil or just get a gobox...Looking into my options on soil before I decide to use bottled nutes though. Have lots of farmland lush landscape and a few near by companies that have been priding their soil for 50-65 years. Their blends contain vermiculite and upon recent studying found out the difference between that and perlite. So just updating my soil situation hoping there might be some recommendations out there.
Haven't fed any nutes and they seem to be thriving in the roots organics original. And it looks like there's a little tip burn on one of the gg#4. Think it's too early for a deficiency and not going to sweat it that much. Really haven't even watered but maybe 1cup total each since potting pellets. I like to transplant into wet medium so roots don't have to search for water and I don't risk overwatering. I think it causes plants to stress if you water AFTER repotting. Just an observation in my personal transplanting experiences.
Going to germ the last 3 seeds when these are close to harvest. Probably right around transitioning of the Dark Harvest Grow Challenge.... Is it August yet? 😝 😆 😉6 Photoshttps://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...-she-s-a-beast

K here's the scoop on my soil. Followed recipe given by a great gwe member. Thank you Weed Pharma growers love 😃. I added some kelp meal to the mix as well same amount as the neem. Figured it might help with the higher temps soon to come. Going to repot tomorrow and enjoy my first 4th of July off in 5 years. Happy 4th!!! And happy growing!!!1 Photohttps://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...-she-s-a-beast

Transplant day...had to add a little more lime Weed Pharma. I'm hoping 1/4 cup more was enough lol... I guess we'll just see how things go. I also added a little more roots organic original to the hole I planted in and a little more on top so another gallon of soil each pot.
Hopefully the ph will be fine I probably didn't use the same products so it's on me if things go awry. Another learning experience in the books. The products I've found were a little overwhelming and I would like to dabble a little more with natural amendments. I like the idea of water only and not leeching...reduces the footprint environmentally, natural, and convenient. This has become a stepping stone in my future grows and I will imply other organic amendments to other soil grows very soon.7 Photoshttps://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...-she-s-a-beast

After going back over this I may have went a little overboard on the neem and kelp I added to the recipe... I did add more lime hoping to compinsate as well. They both bring down ph and lime will raise ph. Oops facepalm... I might have to add a little more lime now that I'm looking at the recipe... I wrote it down wrong 😕 😟.

I'll just hang out and see how your plants do 👍
I'm collecting soil recipes for later use anyway.

Np but like I said my recipe is off and I'm going to hope it goes well. However Weed Pharma has an impressive grow using this recipe here.

Started lst...one Skywalker fimd. Put them in the shop under 1000 watt hps. Gave just a little water, top was dry knuckle deep but the bottom of the pots were still damp. Going on day 16/17 and all looks well going to have to get that vent for the shop even though I have a new 5x5 coming. Free equipment and was even offered to use a space to grow in...a BIG space. Everything is there and ready just need to work out some details...going to use my own spaces for the time being.
For now I'm sticking with my smaller grows and going to step my game up a bit before I think about expanding. Just glad I found a guy that just wanted to give equipment for smoke... said his cures were always bad. He tried mine and wanted me to just use his shop 2000sf. Almost as big as my home...I'm definitely contemplating it. Happy growing all!!7 Photoshttps://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...-she-s-a-beast
