When the setup arrives about two weeks, pictures will follow. I ordered AK48 seeds, should also arrive in about two weeks. My daughter promised some Warlock clones, she has to drive them down from Fairbanks, six (6) hour drive. I'll see which I get first. The clones are big enough to switch to flower, I may end up with Flowering in the grow tent and veging under her T5 set up, she is taking a break from growing due to lack of storage space.

Components are trickling in, For a mid May delivery date, so far I have my light LEC 315/W 3200K and 4500K bulbs. An Apollo 3' x 3' is promised June 1st, just today. I clearly jumped the gun on this thread. As soon as I can figure out how to delete I will. I will try again when my house plants new grow space is completely assembled, tested and ready.

Charlie, you can't delete a thread, but you can ask Nebula to. But it's a nice thread!!!

Good luck to you! I spent some time in Alaska. The most amazing place I've ever been.

Yesterday was a big day. My grow tent and what seems to be the rest of my order arrived late morning. My daughter came through with the promised clones, and a quart jar of Lemon Kush buds. I am going to repot the jumping jimmy to a five (5) gallon grow bag, defoliate them all some and try to LST if I can this late veg. They all are heavily preflowered. They survived a six (6) hour ride in the trunk, and two (2) days in a sunny window, with eighteen (18) hours of sunlight with the room lights on twenty hour (24) hr. They were wilted a little, so tap water until run off, in the tent nineteen (19) inches from the light.
I saw what looked light burn on Seriously Happy but its minor. They are planted in Black Gold potting soil with worm castings, I don't know what nutrients' they were using, for this grow I will use General Hydroponics.
She speaks highly of Critical Mass and Seriously Happy, Jumping Jimmy is named after her signifant other's father. He has a decades old stealth grow in the Midwest from some bag seed from back in the day. Potency is low like back in the day. But they are very hearty. On every grow he selected seeds from the shortest, least fragrant plants, lives in a subdivision.

AND she brought buds to smoke while you watch the plants grow? That's a thoughtful daughter

          Sounds like a good day.

Thanks for the interest. I just got back from Fred Myer and Hydro shop. Everybody is standing up tall, and the leaves are facing the right way now. I am going to defoliate and try to start training, I will at least do some topping.

Defoliation, topping and repotting for Jumping Jimmy, who is really root bound, I hope repotting will help. Everybody else just topping and defoliation, Oh and some training to open them up to soak up more light.
a lot of leaves were only one finger, see pic.

Ironicly , I'm fighting a heat problem. Ninety (90) degree+ temps, showing heat stress, (leaves starting to take a 'V' shape). Opened the tent door and all the windows in the house, raised the light to twenty eight (28) inches, air conditioning is uncommon, and unnecessary for the most part in AK. But a three hundred (300) watt light closed up in a three(3) X three(3) foot tent, in a room that is already seventy-five (75) degrees, a two hundred forty (240) CFM exhaust fan into a carbon filter does not keep it cool enough. The temp is down to seventy nine (79) degrees. I'm thinking of misting a coupe times a day the humidity is thirty eight (38%) percent.

Hi Charlie, growing is exciting isn't it...

Are you venting your air outside, or into the room the tent is in? Outside is ideal, but if vented into the room, make sure the vented air is going away from your air intake.

Try to keep as few bends in the ducting as possible and keep the actual duct length as short as possible too.

You probably don't need the carbon filter in veg (unless your plants are abnormally smelly), removing it will increase air flow, hopefully reducing heat. I may lower RH though.

Supplements containing silica or sea kelp extracts can help plants withstand slightly higher than ideal temperatures for non extended periods of time.
General Hydroponics have their Armor Si and Floralicious Plus that could be helpful.
Here's a bit of info about it.

Nice advice by OzBud and learned something...I may just remove my carbon scrubber to increase air flow for a while.
What Oz said Charlie about ducting for sure.

I noticed when I hooked my filter up in flower that temps went up as well as humidity. Makes sense since filters reduce air flow by about 20% so less warm moist air going out = more warm, humid air in tent

My .02 Is there any way to somewhat forcefully bring some good cold outside air in instead of AC? I really don't know your options but I love trying to figure things out. I personally add AC blowing basically through my lights but not much AC mainly just the fan part keeps it in check. Just some random brainstorming. I hope you get it dialed in!

Thanks OZ and Jeg, good advice. Thanks Tika for concurring, I moved my exhaust to the room door side of the tent, moved boxes until I could get to the window ( it's a store room),opened the window of fresh cool air in the room. bought another duct fan and ducting, I'm sucking air from outside and blowing it in a bottom sock port on the window side. Now at seventy nine (79) degrees, 0ne (1) foot above top of the pot. Plants seem happy, leaves flatten back out. Humidity is thirty one (31%) percent.

Two of my plants have used up just over half of the available height in my tent, allowing for the space the light takes up. I'm thinking time to flip, any opinions?
