Always cut your nutes in 1/2.

I always heard that you should use 1/2 of the manufacturers recommended nutrient amounts. So, if that's true, should I cut these measurements in 1/2?
(I'm in the 3rd week in veg. and run an 18 gal. hydro tub.)

I've gone the way of caution and started with only half nutrients. But it wasn't growing as strong as the ones I ran run full nutes on in a side by side trial. However if your soil is hot with nutrients then starting with half isn't a bad idea for a beginner.

Now I run full nutes the entire time after the first 2-3 weeks of veg using regular distilled water only. I only adjust the amount of water slowly increasing it. I've had better results and no problems this far.

    Just my opinion and experience.

    Happy growing my friend ☺

Nebula has already halved the amounts GH recommends when she made that schedule so you can use the amounts listed on the chart you posted in the original post.

You can always venture up from there depending on how your plants react. I'm currently using a 75% strength mix of the full GH line.

currently growing different strains and each one likes different amounts of nutes. as a general rule I start at half then go up if I notice any burn I know the strain has reached its max intake of nutes . thc bomb was the only strain I've ever seen that you can give it all the nutes you have and it just keeps on getting bigger lol

I grow in soil so I don't start nutrients (Fox Farm trio) for the first 3 weeks. Then I start at 1/2 recommended doses for another 2 weeks or so, then full strength. Haven't had any major nute burn issues, very slight burn on very tip of some leaves on last grow. I took that as a sign that I was up to the max on nutes that she could handle.
