    Need help with my seedling

    Hi,

I'm on day 11 of a grow and one of my seedlings is not doing very well. Her first true leaves never really opened, they curled inwards and the last couple days the leaves have been going brown.

    Some info regarding grow:
    - Strain is Pineapple Express
    - Growing in a grow tent
    - CFL lights, 1x45W & 1x65W
    - Medium is a mix of coco and perlite
    - Humidity ranges between 60 and 80%
    - Temperature is around 25 deg celcius
    - I planted them in moist soil, gave them more water around day 5 (with the occasion of a light spray)

My other plant which is an auto critical neville haze seems to be doing well, albeit a little small.

Just now I gave them their first feeding of an equal mix of micro\grow\bloom\CalMag (around 100ppm) in water with a PH of 6

Is there something I have done wrong? Can I save her?

Pic of the one with the problem and the healthy one are attached.

The stem got damaged. Maybe if you repot to a deeper container and bury all the stem leaving only some space between the leaves and the soil. That's what I would do to try to save her. But I've lost seedlings in the heat in less than an hours

Thanks 9finger, I have taken your advice and transplanted them to bigger pots and buried the damaged one almost up to the leaves, she really is in ICU at the moment. I also added some stuff for the roots, I'm hoping that might help.

Great. Let us know how she recovers

Is the healthy one directly under the light and the other off to the side?

I try to give my seedling a little water more often 1/4 cup or less then I watch the soil to tell when they need more usually every day or two . If you gave it enough water for 5 days then it sat in water and the roots didn't like it try repoting like 9finger suggested . I do the watering until they have two or three nodes then I give them 1/2 cup to 1 cup depending on the plant its a lot more work but I get better results

Thanks for the tip, when I water I do it until water comes out the bottom, is that wrong? When you add your freshly germinated seeds to a pot is all the soil moist?

What you have done wrong is feeding them nutrients when they are just babies. You are going to burn them up, give them plain pHed aqua.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't given them any nutrients at all, only at the end out of desperation

I am going to be growing two new plants and I really need someone to tell me if what I am using is alright because when I transplanted I noticed neither of their roots had grown much, even the healthy one and after 12 days I would have thought they would have grow quite a lot.

    Setup:
    - Growing in a grow tent
    - CFL lights, 1x65W (6400K 3600lm) & 1x45W (6400K 2600lm)
    - Changing from a coco and perlite mix (some large chunks of coconut) to a germination mix from local nursery (nice and light and fluffy) - worked well with my veggies
    - Humidity ranges between 60 and 80%
    - Temperature is around 25 deg Celsius
    - 18\6 light rotation

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Thanks

I wouldn't give them nutrients just yet, only water

When planting freshly germinated seeds in a germination mix (soil based), would I also not PH the water? PH of water here is around 8.5 to 9.

Definitely pH your water even if not adding nutes, especially if it is as alkali as you say.

Sometimes it's just bad genetics and they die off. Are you using bag seed, or did you purchase them from a good breeder?

There's a good thread going talking about the freebies. Nebula found out that they are sometimes leftover seeds from the breeding process.
